Drama at FPA

At FPA Performance Academy, our Acting programme is designed to develop confident, skilled, and industry‑ready young performers. Across the academic year, students work through two dynamic terms that mirror the structure and expectations of professional training.

Term One: Acting Fundamentals / Classical Performance Show

Term Two: Acting Technique / Contemporary Performance Show

Students begin by building a strong foundation in the essential techniques of acting. Through specialist weekly workshops, they explore voice, movement, character development, text work, and ensemble skills — all within a supportive but professional environment. The term culminates in a fully staged classical theatre production, performed to a professional standard in a live theatre setting.

In the second half of the year, students apply their growing skillset to contemporary performance. They explore modern texts, naturalistic acting, devising, and current industry practices, working towards a polished contemporary theatre performance that showcases their versatility and growth

Professional Mentorship & Industry Insight

Throughout the year, students receive high‑quality training from experienced tutors and benefit from guest workshops led by working industry professionals — actors, directors, and creatives who bring real‑world insight directly into the rehearsal room. This ensures every young performer gains not only technical skill but also a genuine understanding of the industry they aspire to join.
